Welcome to BeerAdvocate's Ask Me Anything (AMA) forum, where you'll find question and answer-style threads hosted by people in the beer industry. How to Start Your AMA Thread You must work professionally within the beer industry. Log in or create an account. Create your AMA thread by posting in the AMA forum. Drop me a message first. Titles must be descriptive and follow this general format: "I'm NAME from BUSINESS. Ask Me Anything." It's also highly recommend that you personalize it further by including your title or a specific topic you'd like to focus on. Add an intro and topic to seed the thread and encourage questions. Using your AMA to announce something is also encouraged. Make sure to include when you'll start answering their questions. This could be immediately or a set date and time. It's up to you, but this will help set expectations with our users. Post your thread. Protips for Hosts: (aka: Original Poster (OP) or Thread Starter) You don't need to schedule your thread. Simply post whenever you're ready. Thursday thru Saturday are our peak days for traffic and user engagement, but that shouldn't discourage you from posting on other days. We'll alert everyone once you've started your thread, but I highly recommend that you use your social media and newsletters to promote your AMA before, during, and after to increase awareness and engagement. Try to be as responsive as possible. Like a post before replying to it. This will help you keep track of who you've replied to if you need to refresh the thread or come back to it after a break. If you sign off for the day, drop a a reply in the thread and let everyone know when you'll be back to answer their questions. Rules for Users: Only post questions for the host, and put some effort into your questions; make it interesting for both the host and other users. Please limit your questions. Don't answer questions meant for the host. Don't derail the thread with banter / replies with other users. Our terms of service and rules still apply. Threads will remain open indefinitely, when the host decides to sign off, or when BA staff decide it's time to end (archive by locking) the thread. Thanks in advance for your participation.
