I got my beer. He used FedEx express saver, which should have been about 3x as much as ground, so I assumed they would get the weight right on it, but it was way off, which ended up saving him about $100. The boxes were more than twice the listed weight on his actual receipt (the receipt listed his charge as well, which is another reason I assumed the weight was correct). But all the beer was there... just a little beat up.

He used next to no packing, so fortunately it was mostly cans. They were dented to hell, but nothing broke. There were also 4 bottles only wrapped in plastic grocery bags. No idea how nothing broke as it was all pretty loose in the box, but I'll take it.

And as luck would have it, FedEx screwed up the delivery of my box to him, so he still doesn't have it. They initially claimed high package volume in the area causing delays. Then yesterday I got a Delivery Exception saying he refused delivery, but he said they never even attempted. Trying to get them to re-deliver now rather than ship back to me.

Definitely not the smoothest trade I've ever had, but he has been easy to work with and communication has been good. Now I just hope he gets his box.

Sounds like his packing skills need some serious work before he does any more trades. Woof.
