Aslin in Maine

I've seen them pop up over the past year or so at events in the Greater Portland area with Barreled Souls - tap takeover like events with just a couple breweries - so I wonder if there is some personal relationship between founders or employees that has facilitated it?

 

This. Much like hoof, they came to the Maine Brewers Guild and fell in love with the area/culture. Decided to start sending beer

 

Makes perfect sense...and what's not to love...! Interestingly enough, I went to school in rural VA and found that both locals and non locals like myself can sometimes come to develop a passion for the area much like the passion and pride folks in Maine and Vermont have for their local areas. Speaking of which, aren't Veil and Hardywood located somewhere in VA as well??!!

 

Orange Starfish and Double Orange Starfish are both amazing. As is Master of Karate. And Laser Raptors. And Champion of the Sun. Great stuff.

 

Are they using lactose? I went to Other Half recently and was disappointingly shocked at how much they used it.
