There aren't many known, realistic options for a $50 beer (likely price based on previous cellar sales).

MDb3- same release party numbers as b2 but i can't remember any place that got keg distro (likely some but idk). I remember a bunch that had b2. No idea about relative batch size.

Chainsmoker- originally "planned" for 3 releases (2 Iowa and 1 Florida). If it didn't make it to Florida (anybody know if it did?), then that allotment was likely sold at the end of the main release (2nd Iowa) AND the entire next day (which would likely consume most of that FL release but there could be enough left).

    -Vanilla Assassin
-A freshly bottled oldie or unannounced new beer release

All pretty solid options. I'd guess a mix of MD and Chain, but wtf do I know.

Oooooh, what if they do a 3 Floyd's type "golden ticket" for Vanilla Bean Assassin. Wouldn't that be wild.

Not to try and fuel speculation but based on this interview back in March of 16, Vanilla Bean Assassin is/was in the works. Here is the quote from Paste Magazine:

Paste: The Vanilla Bean variant of Assassin is a “white-whale” for most in the craft community. Are there any plans to release this beer to the public?

    CL: Yes

Mike: Vanilla Bean Assassin is likely to be released in the future.

Fwiw TG tweeted on August 3rd that Assassin variants (referencing vanilla) would likely be ready around the end of the year unless they made it all vanilla. And they didn't.

Cycle did release chainsmoker. From what I understand it was a silent release.

Your logic has no place in a thread like this sir.

Which is usually around the cost of a case of their beer. Just saying.

They're only allowing ticket holders to purchase an additional 4 bottles though...

Is it 4 bottles or 4 beers to choose from?

I'll be staying at a buddies in dubuque. Anyone know of any decent bottle shops where I could find some TG hops or others good beers?

Hy-Vees should have a decent amount. If you go to the Hy-Vee that's by the river, they don't have a dedicated wine and spirits section-- just a few aisles. They lowkey have a pretty good TG selection because I don't think people go there to get that sort of stuff. Found Twisted Galaxy, Sosus, etc all no limits.

But now that I say that, I probably ruined it for myself for the future

Has this been confirmed? I don't recall seeing anything specific sayings that only lotto winners were getting bottles. Just that lotto winners can purchase 4 additional TBD bottles. They mentioned this was so they would have enough to go around, which could mean for everyone else after 4:30.

Much like most of Clark's tweets, it's ambiguous until the day of.

I think you misinterpreted my post and/or I wasn't clear. Let me rephrase: they're allowing ticket holders to only purchase 4 additional bottles to the 3 in the boxed set.

Therefore, a case of TG beers costing $100 is inconsequential and superfluous information, because we'll be limited to a max of 4 extra bottles.

    Per TG's email:
    • 4 additional bottles of beer maximum (beer to be determined)

D'oh, I suppose adding the context of the quote would have helped...

Can I blame it on all this cold or snow?

I know this is assumed, but be safe and smart with driving this weekend. I have to believe the local police know there will be an extra crowd in town this weekend, and I would expect them to assume people will be drinking and driving and do not have any simpathy for those DUI-ing. Cab, walk, have someone in your group drink less. No need to end the weekend several thousand dollars poorer (or way way worse) over a couple extra beers, even if it's for super-ultra-mega-whalez at various shares

Can't wait to meet many new great people starting tomorrow night!

Haha no worries. I could've been clearer and more detailed in my original response to the $100/case guy.

I have to say, it would be really lame for TG to lump yet another whale in this lottery. They talk like they'd like to have as many people happy as possible...why load up on this 1,000 lottery winners with yet another whale? Save that for the grand opening of the new facility or something.

I'm already a bit annoyed with TG and their games at this point and generally prefer PR's hops, but if they lump another whale in for these lottery winners I'll be really pissed.
