Assassin/KBBS day 2017...

I flew all the way from Florida and all the extras I got were 4 Sosus and this lousy T shirt.

 

Went to C&C earlier this evening and it was really nice. Never been before but I dug the atmosphere and I was able to pick up a case to go as well. Cool bottle selection. That said, I need to mention the fact that the Assassin flight was Assassin, KS and...... Pour Over Porter from Pulpit Rock. Fine beer but not quite the 'barrel aged Prarie beer' that @DecorahNM said it would be. Obviously Assassin is the draw and we wouldn't have hesitated no matter what the others were but still feels a little bait and switchy? Not bitter about, had a great time and I'll be back.

 

My printer broke down this morning. Does anybody in Decorah have a printer that I can use. Already on the road have a 10 a.m. pickup time should be in town by 9 to 9:30

 

T-Bock line is about 30 deep (with more hanging in nearby cars) at 6 am... Estimated ~120 pours of Assassin

 

What the me are they starting to pour?

They are opening for breakfast at 7 with Assassin tapping at 9.

 

Can't edit this so, just a heads up: No longer near a printer. Didn't hear back from Nauz before heading down here, so he's still in need of a printer..

 

Well my favorite part so far was last night when a very nice gentleman next to us at C&C just straight up offered us his full glass of Assassin. Wow!

Just gotta stick the landing now and make sure I don't forget my wallet before heading out to the bottle pickup.

Are you staying in decorah for the night? Feel like most hotels have printers these days. Could be wrong.

Just stopped for gas they had a computer and a printer hooked up behind the counter but nobody knew how to use it. What has this world come to

 

I checked a coverage map and it looks like I'm miles away from my Sprint network. Anyone else with Sprint having trouble? Does Pulpit Rock, C&C and Toppling Goliath have free wifi?

 

Sprint definitely does not work well in Iowa unless you are near an interstate or city. TG and C&C had wifi last time I was there.

 

Anyone picking bottles right at 8am? Please share if the 4 extra bottles available are in fact Sosus.

 

The good news is that AT&T now has coverage at TG (they didn't at the MD release). Otherwise Verizon also works great in town.

 

So, for those who've had it already.....how's Assassin???
