Been hearing good things about Asylum. This weekend they are having their first "Can Release"...

Asylum Brewing Hazy Double IPA Can Release!
    http://asylumbrewing.brownpapertickets.com/
    • Limit 2 per person. 250 Crowlers available
    • $13.50 ($14.96 w/service fee) *Per Crowler
    • Sale starts 12:00 AM on 9/15/17
So yeah. Crowlers, not cans. Probably a good thing though. At that $/oz rate, we'd be looking at $29.92 four packs.

    Anyone check them out yet?

I'll be stopping by this weekend. Will report back.

I've been there a handful of times, decent stuff, but if they focused more their IPA lineup (usually maybe 1-2 out of a total of 6-8) they'd get more business as the bottle logic ones are mediocre at best.

    So...a 'can' release that's really $15 crowlers?

Paying $15 blindly for 32oz of a new IPA is crazy. Anytime I see these kind of prices, it takes me back to how good we had it a few years ago with 64oz growler fills of OG Nelson/Duet/PH for $12 at Alpine. Man, talk about best bang for your IPA-buck.

This move does not seem to be panning out: 18 hours into the sale, it looks like 11 of the 250 tickets have been purchased.

Makes me sick to think what we used to take for granted, $ 5.29 for a bomber of OG Nelson to boot. Hope Pat is happy with his GF $$$ he should be ashamed.

    Cheers,

    Terrible move for them.

True, but keep it mind materials were a bit cheaper and minimum wage was ~$8.
    $8 then

In an hour you can make a lot of bombers, maybe they would be $6 now.
