First time posting outside of the California/Hawaii threads...
I'll be spending two of the next three weeks in Buckhead and was wondering if there were any places that are worth a check-out. @ndepriest has given me a few already (The Porter and Brick Store) but was wondering if anyone else could chime in.
I see there is a Whole Foods in the area. Is the WF there anything like the WF here in the Bay Area in that they have a good/great selection of local beers?

Green's is the best beer store in Buckhead area.

Buckhead isn't huge for great craft beer bars and it is more of the business district. Still, you'll be able to get some local stuff no problem at most of the places around. WF will have a pretty decent selection.

+1 to Brick Store and The Porter.
Definitely go to The Wrecking Bar if you can. Not in Buckhead, but worth the trip for sure.

Atlanta has Uber, so it will be easier to get to the places that don't have MARTA stops if you are without a car.

Oh yeah and Greens is definitely the bottle shop to go to in the area.

The Wrecking Bar is great, as are The Porter and Brick Store. In addition, The Porter and Wrecking bar are just a few minutes worth of walking from each other. Those places aren't technically in Bulkhead, but not far by any means.

To answer the other question, Whole Foods isn't bad but not every location gets the same stuff, also people frequent the better stocked ones more often, so there's less chance of finding rarities. Local beers are supported well, but you can find both at Green's or Tower on Piedmont without dealing with the insanity of grocery shoppers.

Strangely not mentioned, but Hop City on the Westside in Midtown. Also not Buckhead, but worth a short Uber.

Towers, which is close to Greens on Buford usually has a good selection as well.

Bumping this just to see if anyone has some new info on where to find good beer in the Buckhead area? Doesn't have to be the end-all, just hoping to find good food and a decent tap list with some local beers. I've seen the threads about elsewhere in ATL (thanks!) but I'm interested in options in Buckhead. Cheers!

There is no good beer in Buckhead, you'll have to travel out a little for anything.

Not beer related but if you are going to the Decatur area for brickstore pub. Go to Fox Bros BBQ. You won't be disappointed. Ale Yeah is on the same road. Worth the trip.

Greens you must check dates as well. Always just buy the local IPA now since I know its typically fresh.

Gentlemen, please let this man go to the Whole Foods. Beer selection is minimal but the Buckhead Betties will give him plenty of eye candy! Then head to Greens or Tower for good stuff. If you are into partying and paying $7 for a Bud Light then Buckhead is your spot. If you like to chill and have good beers (you are on this site) then that is why everyone is saying to leave Buckhead.

I'm visiting Buckhead next weekend. I'll get out and hit stores outside of Buckhead but would rather eat dinner closer to my hotel, adjacent to Lenox Mall. What are some good restaurants with decent craft selections in Buckhead?
