    Hello!

Looking for some help with a quick trip to Atlanta this coming weekend (March 4-7). I'm visiting my brother who lives in or near Cabbagetown. Looking for any suggestions regarding breweries we must check out, good bottle shops preferably close to Cabbagetown (we will be able to travel if need be), bottles I should pick up and any beer bars we should hit up.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated and if there is already thread going that I missed please point me in that direction.

    Thanks for any help!

There's plenty of Atlanta threads. Plenty.

Just did a forum search for Cabbagetown. Zilch. Nothing. Questions about Atlanta only seem to come up every 2 or 3 months. Perfectly valid question.

Hit Places in the upper Navigation bar >> Georgia >> Atlanta. The stuff there is listed by ratings to find the best breweries, bottle shops, etc. Safe travels; cheers!

Cabbagetown is right next to Edgewood/Candler Park/L5P, where The Porter and Wrecking bar reside. While I don't think anyone has searched Cabbagetown, Atlanta is a big search term and yields a ton of results. But I appreciate you being condescending anyway.

Lol, one small neighborhood in a large city. Yea like he said above. Lots around cabbagetown but not there. Search Atlanta and read a little; you will find a lot.

Sorry, didn't mean to be condescending. But I don't have a problem with someone asking a specific question.

I'll be helpful. Wrecking Bar, Twains, 5 Seasons, Max Lagers--brewpubs
Wild Heaven, 3 Taverns, Second Self, Eventide, lots more--breweries, see hours open
Ale Yeah, Hop City, growler shops, many more--places to buy bottles
just trying to name stuff close with Uber, hope you have a great time in our city!

Hop City at Krog St Market is closest to you. It also has a bar with a fantastic tap list, and you can grab a beer and eat at one of the food stalls. It can get crowded at night and on weekends, though, and the bar is closed on Sunday. Wrecking Bar will tap their Mexican Siberius on Saturday (similar in style to Hunahpu or Mexican Cake). Usually taps at 7 but sometimes it's earlier on Saturday. Check their twitter.
For beer bars, Brick Store, the Porter, and Argosy.

I appreciate all those who weighed in with helpful information. For those taking shots or writing me off I apologize but I don't have all day to sit on here and search threads. I was just looking for a couple hot spots to check out while I'm in town, not a Frommer's guide to Atlanta. Looking forward to my trip and glad a couple people were able to give me some good, quick insight.

If you have a couple bicycles you could also ride along the Beltline Trail to Orpheus Brewing from Krog St Market.

I don't think people were writing you off, but I think you completely hit the nail on the head with your comment.

"I don't have the time to sit here and search".

Which reads: "Spoon feed me the info because I have no time to do it myself". It does get a bit old at times.

I think this thread has made it a point to make sure we get to adding pinned geographical locations for each sub forum here.

    Tampa, Atlanta, Charleston, Asheville...
