I'll be in Atlanta on the 29th and was wondering if there are any places to buy Creature Comforts & Wrecking Bar beers? Not even sure if these are bottled/canned.

Also looking for any info from the trusted beer crowd for help in a nice place to eat in Mrytle/North of Myrtle for my anniversary while on vacation. Seafood always nice when near the coast but not required.

Also info of any worthwhile coffee roasters in either Atlanta or Myrtle/North of Myrtle would be appreciated.

No need for beer help in Myrtle unless someone has built a better selection than beerbyrd at the Piggly Wiggly in the last two years.

    Thanks All

Creature Comforts is sort of dependent on when the last distribution happened (no set schedule on this), but Green's, Hop City and Ale Yeah are the standard beer store recommendations. Creature Comforts is also carried by Kroger grocery stores, though I don't know if that's true in Atlanta yet. Wrecking Bar does not package their products and are not legally allowed to do so until July (new legislation). You might find them at a growler shop, though.

I'm a big fan of Batdorf and Bronson, who operate the Dancing Goats coffee shops in Atlanta. Jittery Joe's is the big Georgia chain and they have a couple dark roasts made in conjunction with Terrapin.

+1 to Dancing Goats (Batdorf and Bronson). Their beans for sale are typically roasted the day before or same day.

Creature Comforts Tropicalia has started showing up in Kroger in North Metro, but it's still spotty at this point. Tropicalia may be difficult, but you might have an easier time landing some Athena, which is CC's Berliner Weisse.

As for coffee, I'm more of an Octane man myself. Their beans are rather pricey given their smaller production and on-premises only sales, but their selections and roasting are excellent. It took a while for them to get it right after leaving Counter Culture behind.

But I'll give a +1 for Batdorf and Bronson. A bit darker than I prefer, but their roastery tour is very educational and lots of fun. Land of Thousand Hills is another overlooked coffee roaster. Their focus on Rwandan coffee is admirable and the coffees are right up there with the best Ethopian, Kenyan, and Tanzanian coffees.

Haven't heard of them before but I do love good coffee. Website implies they're north side only. Does anyone carry their beans inside the perimeter?

Fire and Smoke Gastropub in MB has a nice selection of beers and pretty tasty food. Down the road is a quaint Italian joint called Ciao. I enjoyed the seafood dishes I've had from there. Their wine selection is excellent, but their beer selection isn't wonderful. I've never been to the Library, but everyone says it's nice. They keep a few "special" beers around, but it's a little too pricey for my blood.

If you're staying in N Myrtle and don't feel like trekking to Market Commons the Lowes Food at 215 International Dr has a pretty decent beer selection. It's not nearly as good as the Pig at Market Commons, but it would come through in a pinch.

    Enjoy your visit.

Whole Foods Market usually carries their beans. Land of Thousand Hills used to be more prominent because of their shop on the Chattahoochee (near Akers Mill) and then a second one on Huff Road. The owner decided to end that association, however, and changed the name of the coffee shops to Chattahoochee Coffee Company and started carrying Counter Culture coffee.

I have really liked the offerings from Perc Coffee in Savannah, which my WFM also carries. And Rev Coffee in Smyrna has a good thing going, too.

Awesome, I'll check out WFM this weekend. I was just in Savannah this past weekend and had coffee from Perc. Very impressed. Supposedly it's a former Jittery Joe's roaster that started the business. I'll keep an eye out for Rev Coffee as well.

I really dig Perc's Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Adado, Bella Vista, and Juggernaut Espresso. I have a ROK Espresso maker, and the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe was just insane when I made espresso with it. Perc kind of reminds me of CREMA Coffee in Nashville, which is another favorite roaster of mine.

Rev is located on Spring Road in Smyrna. Not sure that they have any distribution yet, but it's worth a trip if you're in the area. They're working on bottling their cold brewed coffee now.
