Heading down there tomorrow from the Boston area, staying until Sunday. Staying in a house in Brigantine, but will likely end up in AC a couple of times. Looking for recommendations for stores to buy good beer, & places that have good draft lists. Cheers.

When I was in AC last month we checked out The Seed, which is a newish brewery right where Route 30 hits Delaware Ave. We enjoyed the vibe and the beer.

There’s a bar in the Tropicana called Firewater that last time I was there, had a ton of local stuff on tap. It’s been a couple of years though.

Is it still located in a gloomy yet noisy cellar, inside a cage?

Don’t remember the cage but it was dark and smokey, even for a casino lol.

Highly recommend the seed brewery if it's open while you are there. Other options - Tennessee Ave beer hall, Wingcraft. If you go to the Trop, the Chickie and Pete's also had a decent selection the last time I went.

    This is great advice.
Hidden Sands & Tuckahoe are also a short drive from AC, you will pass both getting off the AC express way

Also Gorden Ramseys at caesars sometimes will have a cask pour or a special craft tap, worth asking if you walk by

One more vote for The Seed. I've been spending time at my in laws' place on Brigantine for more than 10 years, it's been a beer wasteland, but The Seed has changed everything. Fantastic beer and a killer space. Personally I feel that Wingcraft is going in the wrong direction in terms of their offerings, however the food is solid. Vagabond is worth looking into, just a month ago I came across Gravitational Jams there (Brix/Conclave) which was excellent, and the food is very good.

As others have mentioned, the three best stops in AC are clearly The Seed, Wingcraft and Tennessee Ave. Beer Hall. If you are going to explore the nearby shore towns, your best beer store is probably Circle Liquors in Somers Point, at the foot of the causeway into Ocean City.

I loved The Seed when I visited in August. TN Beer Hall not so much. Guy wouldn’t tell me what the taps actually were, just said check online... which had little info. He says the Industrial Arts handle was a pale when it clearly turned out to be a lager. Still good, but not the vibe I want at a craft bar.

Firewaters, Tennessee Ave Beer Hall, and The bar in the Ocean Resort are my go-to's. And the outdoor Biergarten, north of the Trop, is nice when it's warm out.

I hate when bars do this. They pay a ton for these kegs and charge a premium for the beer yet there is seemingly no effort to educate the staff on what they are.
