I recognize that both of these beers should not be aged too long because they are fruited sours. What would be the max about of time you would wait before drinking these? (I'm planning drinking VSB in late April)

Have you had them? April should be fine, but drink them asap.

I haven't had either but the low ABV with the fruit concerns me about holding onto them long term.

Anytime you age a fruit forward beer you are taking a risk of it falling off drastically from when it was fresh. That'snot saying it won't be as good/great with age, but if you enjoy the beer mostly for its fruit flavors, best drink it fresh.

Having said that, these are both sours, so they could potentially get more funky/tart with age. If you're into that, might be worth the risk.

Also, if you're into trade winning, VSBs value seems to grow every day. It's possible it could join the ranks of beers like mimosa someday.

As for my recommendation, I've had both. VSB is amazing right now. I wouldn't wait too long on it. Atrial was very very good too, but not as fruit forward as VSB (which is really more of a testament to how fruity VSB was cause the fruits in atrial were very noticeable) so if you were going to hang onto one of the two and age it, I'd say go with Atrial.

Drink VSB now, dont wait till april. Its got the perfect balance of berry fruitiness and extreme sourness! havent had Atrial, so I cant comment on that beer.

Atrial has a lot of fruit in it. It should last quite a while. If you haven't had Atrial fresh, then drink it as soon as you can. If you have had it fresh, sit on it for a year or two and see what happens. I've had it fresh, I'm gonna drink one in march after 1 yr, and another next march.
