Gonna be in the Auburn area on Saturday (will be in the Canandaigua/Geneva area the rest of the week), and was wondering if the Prison City location downtown Auburn is main spot, or the one North of town? Not gonna have a lot of time (I'm back for my Dad's memorial service), but is there a must hit bottle shop?

D&L Truck Stop in Auburn looks like a dingy nothing truck stop, but has an awesome selection. I went there to get propane, noticed a couple good looking cans in the front, then discovered a whole walkin fridge/cooler where I must've spent like 10 minutes.

I only went to the PC location in downtown Auburn, was cool but not sure how it compares to their other spot.

Can vouch for D&L. Sneaky little spot that you can regularly find Other Half, Aurora, Grow, Frost, and many other smaller, local/regional breweries....including Prison City beers now. Regarding PC, the downtown location remains the 'main spot' but the new location (just a mile away) has a lot more offerings to go. In summary: downtown = better food/drinks spot, new location = better selection of beer to take home + let your dogs/kids run wild spot.

Mostly though, condolences for your loss. Safe travels.
