I know auction threads are banned here, but time and time again I see an FT: (specific bottle) posted with ISO:List (with no ratios). I've seen OP keep the trade open and close hours later after taking the best offer. I know I've posted an ISO:List before but will close with the first to reply who has bottles from my ISO.

Does keeping the trade open constitute an auction? Am I a dummy for closing a trade with the first to respond with my wants? You know what they say about opinions....and I'd like to hear yours. Cheers!

I should've looked harder and maybe found that. I must say OP has a point. Thanks for the share!

It happens all the time, but that doesn't mean it's right. Keep doing what you're doing OP and let the first responder have dibs. If you shop/auction trade it's a real easy way to find yourself on Do Not Trade lists

    Cheers!

I had a guy shop trade on me recently. I proposed a trade and he responded with my two bottles for his 1. I said sounds good and then when I finally heard back from him he said he wanted to make sure he wasn't triple dipping on trades. Basically he was looking for the best offer, got it and then went back on his offer to me. That's his business he's just now on my do not trade list
