That is a strong response to a relatively benign post. What up?

I'll assume that response was to me. I just found it odd that you commented on running it thru the normal line after Jace had said we wouldn't do that. Perhaps it was coincidence, and if so, you can disregard my last sentence. It's the internet, and I'm not a mind reader.

re: snarling badger - there seems to be a lot of discussion on what makes a berliner - some of the easier to find ones in the mountain/midwest region are badger, oarsman, crabtrees bw & 1809 - but i find snarling badger to be the odd man out in comparison, it seems very heavy...but i still like it a ton. it just doesn't have the quaffable factor the others have

as far as syrup goes, i love bw's straight, but i made a simple blackberry syrup to try with the crabtree bw and it was really outstanding. planning on doing a homebrew version of this sometime in the future...

Any chance we'll get kegs of either the Gose or Berliner Weisse? I would REALLY like to have these on tap at the restaurant. Such wonderful styles with great food....

Yes, the Gose will be kegged, but probably not the Berliner Weisse. Maybe a few, but not a lot if we do any.

Saison-Brett is dosed with brett when it's bottled, but all of our 750ml bottles are filled on a different line than our 12 oz bottles. We'd never dare to infect our main bottling line with brett.

just mix equal parts fresh blackberries & water, bring to boil and then simmer until the blackberries turn to mush, then sweeten with sugar to taste. i then ran it thru a fine mesh strainer and then would add about 2 tablespoons or so to a pint's worth of BW. super tasty.

We're hand bottling the first of the Noble Star Series today! The Star of the North will be bottled today and bottle condition for two weeks in the warehouse before being let loose out in the market! More photos to follow!
    Also this news:
August Schell Brewing Company The second release will be a raspberry Berliner Weisse- a twist on the tradition of adding a shot of sweet raspberry syrup to a Berliner Weisse.

    This also:
Filling the wood tank back up with more sour beer! This batch will be the third release in the Noble Star Collection- a Märzen Berliner Weisse. We'll let this batch sit for about a year to allow the Brettanomyces and lactobacillus to make it awesome!

it should be oyear ithin a week our two, I'm more concerned with the fact that the one they call number three has to age for a yesr does that mean they only releasing two per year?

We'll do 3 to 4 releases a year, depending on how fast the beer matures. We split the first batch, bottled half, and put the second half on 5000 pounds of raspberries. That will be the second release, and should be out this fall.

Awesome! We can we expect to see the first Noble Star beer to hit shelves? Will it be distributed to all markets, or mainly MN?

Probably 2 weeks by the time it gets to the distributors and in the market. It will be distributed to all of our markets as well, as long as our distributors order it.

So does anybody know where Berliner Weisse is going to be sold? I assume New Ulm and Four Firkins are a give in but beyond that...
