In HOU, they're distributed by Houston Distributing Company (HDC). It's just kegs, obviously, at the moment, but this sets them up for wide distribution in town via HDC (central) and Faust (North/South).

I could go for some Pilz...all the time

Wish that Icon Gold would have been Biere de Saison. Still missing that one.

Sounds like another brewery will be DFW only - Backcountry Brewing from CO is with a DFW only distributor.

I think I may have gotten a New Holland beer in a trade once years ago. Have had many good beers from other breweries right off the shelves here in H-town since then.

So, when I go to CO next week if I make it to Frisco I'll have one of their brews at the brewpub, if I don't get there, I'll drink other brews available in CO. They have quite a selection to choose from in Denver. Backcountry is just one of many. If they are in no hurry to make it to H-town, oh well.

I'll make it to Frisco at some point this coming winter and stop by Backcountry for a brew. If I don't have their brews between now and then, I think I'll survive.

Pre-orders for Evil Twin/Stillwater were done today. They will be hitting the ATX market sooner than later.

Big Hops listed an event for Evil Twin debut at The Bridge location in September. 9/24 I believe.

Edit: Big Hops is in San Antonio

Agreed. Everyone's had comparable beers, but their DIPA is pretty phenomenal.

Anyone know why we are getting an influx of German breweries right now? Is there a new distributor in town or is someone just aggressively adding them to their portfolio? I'm pretty excited for them actually.

I am up to around 10 German breweries coming into TX in the last 2 weeks.

Most of them have a mailing address of a guy named John Kanetzke of Loveland Ohio. Guessing that he has something to do with the importation, but can't seem to find a link between him and beer other than this.

This will be a company-wide event. Details from the other two locations are forthcoming. I haven't heard anything about Stillwater, but I hope to soon. I'm actually more excited about them than Evil Twin.

Stillwater is up here in Arkansas. They make great beer. Be on the lookout for one of their barrel aged sour offerings called The Devil is People.

    Found this: http://idvus.com/about-us/

I know the owner of the Bavarian Grill has been trying to get Andechs here for several years, even personally going to the monastery and harassing the monks. He told me they were very close just a few months ago. Happy to see some new German brews, and a new distributor/importer.
