Loose plans for middle of 2016- dependent on Austin & Houston launches! Nothing set in stone just yet, but we're starting to ramp up production (cellar expansion underway!).

I had no idea Spec's was doing this. I knew they did it with other companies during Texas beer month, but since Mosaic is always on the shelf Downtown and at Dairy Ashford, I always just assumed that y'all were sending some down. This makes total sense now.

Looking forward to real distribution next year.

Whoa, Marco IPA's first format is going to be 32oz cans? I wonder why they chose to go that route.

Maybe they're buying out all the crowler machines?

They wouldn't need label approval to sell those on site?

And I don't think crowlers are legitimately a solution for canning distribution - they would go old way too quickly.

I wouldn't even want to do that on the homebrew scale haha

Oh I completely agree, it'd probably be worse than manually capping bottles. I made that in jest, but I'm sure they don't have room for a canning line, and American Canning or Armadillo only does 12/16oz. Though I haven't been in back of their place.

Targeting music venues/festivals maybe? Plenty of demand from that market in Austin for larger format packages

It's not really the canning line that takes up a lot of space its all the empty cans you have to order in advance and store.

I think Ball makes the 32 oz cans but I could be wrong

Not many people still fuss about Unibroue, but I still love them, and I am excited about La Resolution.

Don't be deceived by their small brewery up front. They own a very large space behind the walls that is not too used right now. Basically, they wanted their brewery to be up front and center in the taproom. The large space behind is for growth and for things like....canning lines.

Ha, curious if this is sorta a one off thing? I cannot possibly see them doing this for any longer period of time.

It is more of their sister brewery that is under the same roof. They are both owned by the same company, but North Peak makes the more standard beers. It just comes in under the JP approval since they are brewed at the same address.
