Austin BA Tasting - August 4th - the Draught House

    Hey beer people,

    Posting this for Mike (yes he's still organizing it- I'm just helping a busy guy out).

    First Sunday of the month is coming up! We'll be at Draught House for our monthly bottle share at 3:00 pm.

    Rules:
    1. Buy at least one beer from the house.
    2. Tip well. Very well.
    3. Bring your own glassware.
    4. Bring some beer to share. If you don't have any beer, bring food.
    5. Don't bring anything that they have on tap unless you were intending to do a side by side.

    Please post here if you plan to attend!

    Note from MiguelMandingo last month: *It has been brought to my attention from the Draught House staff that folks have been trying to bring bottles to open on non-tasting days. We can't do this - gotta keep it to the first Sunday of the month if we want to keep having these tastings. Please be respectful of their wishes and don't bring bottles to open unless you are accompanied by me on a designated tasting day. Believe me - I'll hear about it.

    I plan to go, though there is a slight chance that I will have to go to work due to a fast-approaching deadline.

    Planning to bring Jack's Abby Hoponious Union (16.9oz x2), Captain Lawrence Captain's Reserve IIPA (16.9oz x1), and maybe another beer. Not really sure how much to bring, as this will be my first ATX Sunday DH Tasting. I just know there was too much beer from too many generous people at the Jester King share! :grinning:

    For reals. That share killed me, lol. I enjoy the slower pace at these.

    I'll be there. I've got a very special growler to share as well. Amongst other things.

    I think I should be able to make this one. Who knows what I will bring out of my beer closet.

    Is someone going to create a google spreadsheet so we can make a list?

    The #3 bus does. As for where you start...
    Edit: The 338 goes next closest, then the 5 goes pretty close. I will be taking 1L/1M and walking ~12 minutes.

    If I can drive home from a Jester King share I'm positive I can from a Draught House share :slight_smile:

    I'll likely end up catching a bus to Kerbey Lane for much needed stack o'pancakes. I just say that because I'm looking a much slower paced share.

    If we haul our bottles out after, I can bring trash bags.
    And if someone drives me ~10 blocks North after, I can put them in my apartment's recycling bins.
