Austin Beer and Bourbon Dinner with a Chef.

    Who is interested in this? I would like to have 8-10 people over, Ill hire a chef to cook a 3 course meal. Attendees would bring a few nice bottles of beer and a bottle of decent to high end bourbon. I figured it would cost about $35 a person for a 3 course meal with lamb shanks being the dinner.

    Killer idea. Not sure I'd be able to make it and I'd be a little limited on beer but I do have some bookers 25th, barterhouse, or old blowhard(I have a hard time with the old blowhard name also but it's in reference to a whale; and no I don't mean a fat bitch).

    Over the last few years I've been really trying to learn more about different drinks and eats. Bourbon, scotch, tequila, cheese, deli meats, BBQ, mudbug/seafood boils, etc...

    Im going to contact the chef chick who is pretty easy on the eyes as well and get some dates and throw them out there and see what happens here. I think it would be pretty bad ass.

    I'm in. My wife and I thought about doing the same thing, except hiring a sushi chef to make sushi for everyone. I'll get back to yall if that comes to fruition but am definitely interested on this one.

    Grendle, come up from SA and Ortiz that is a killer idea also. Some high end beers, bourbon and good food. IMO $35 is a sweet deal for a 3 courses meal by itself.

    Im in. I just do not have any bourbon, but will definitely try them just not a big bourbon fan. I will bring 2 badass beers instead.

    I'd be down for this, but I dont have bourbon (dont drink hard stuff any more). Certainly could bring good beers though!

    Ok so I think I have 3 of my buddies who are in. I would like to limit this to 8 total.. Everyone who responded on this thread gets 1st crack at this. I am working on dates. We can work on the details if you have only good beer or good bourbon. After talking to the Chef today she feels the price point for the 3 course meal will be $35 which I don't think is bad at all. So Ill keep everyone updated on date options and so forth. Ill open up either a Rare or King Henry as a starter and a Bottleworks, Armand Winter or BA Bahemoth as my 2nd. I would like to keep the beers in this general area or some what close.

    Still in as long as its a day I'm off work. I work every third day so it shouldn't be too hard to schedule around. My schedule for work is July 3rd, 6th, 9th, etc. Thanks, looking forward to it!

    I would definitely drag my wife with me to this if it weren't for her not really liking lamb, bourbon, or beer. Josh, though, he's alright.

    I live in Cedar Park near 1431 and Parmer, but we could have this anywhere. I don't mind hosting it but if someone more central wants then by all means and by central I mean north Austin ha. I am thinking before August or during September.
