A friend in en route to Austin right now. What stops should he make to pick me up a bottles of JK or 512? And any chance any Boxer's remain in Austin? I know fat chance but it's worth asking.

JK is all over town. (512) doesn't bottle their beers, except for the occasional seasonal, and those are hard to find.

Hyde Park Market (45th st and Duval), Sunrise Minimart (Anderson Ln...there is more than one), Specs Brodie Ln and Ben White, Specs Arbor Walk are probably your best bet. Could try Whip-In right off I35 but that's my least favorite personally. Good luck finding Boxer's...heard there were a few bottles left at Hyde Park Market yesterday but could be gone by now.

head by the Central Markets around town- take advantage of their beer sale going on right now. Also try rosedale market at 45 and burnett in addition to whats mentioned above.

I would have your friend check around Whole Foods and Whip-In for some Live Oak for a growler fill.....either Hefe or Tree Hugger, both well worth it. Might be able to find some regular (512) Pecan Porter too...I may have sailed my ship late on this one, but had to try. Think they do growler fills at South Lamar too.
