    Has anyone tried Live Oak's smOAKtoberfest? Looks like they're tapping a cask of it at Billy's on Burnet tonight.

    How is pinthouse pizza anyway? i work near there and have seen it a bazillion times and wondered about that place.

    Not open yet. Those events this week are to celebrate the opening. I think it soft-opens Thursday or Friday, and officially opens this weekend.

    Missed out on tickets to that one - it was #1 on my list of events for the week. I'll most likely go to Draught House party this weekend, and maybe an event or 2 during the week too. I went to the inaugural Rogness tour/tasting on Saturday - nice time

    Believe Pinthouse Pizza opens on Thursday the 25th. Planning on heading there on Monday and check it out. As for Austin Beer Week, went to Red's on Sunday and had some Pumpkinator and boulevard Rye on Rye. Got the last pull of the Rye on Rye and it was murky as hell. Really good beer!

    Am i thinking of the right place on Burnet near billys? It looked like it was open the last few times id been by, but i never stopped in to check.

    Maybe ill make it a destination then, esp if the pizza AND beer are good lol

    Was at Bangers on Sunday for the goat roast/thirsty planet/new belgium event. Chris Booth was saying they were going to get a keg of the Jester King RU-55 for Wednesday. Looking forward to that.

    Also available on Thursday at the Draught House/Jester King sour beer/food pairing event (along with the new sour brown)

    I'll be at the Jester King event tonight at Draught House. Look for the short dude with blue glasses in a Hawaiian shirt.

    I'll bring a few bottles of Fat Jack too if anyone needs some.

    I'm probably gonna miss it... but Red's Porch is tapping a keg (probably one of the last ones of this years' batch) of (512) Whiskey Barrel Aged Double Pecan Porter @ 11AM on Saturday. If you haven't had that beer on tap, BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.

    Went to the seminar at pinthouse on weds and the jester king event at draughthouse tonight. I dig both the ol oui and ru-55. The pairing for ru-55 with the dates was delicious. The seminar last night was very interesting, pinthouse is great. Guest taps including Maui coconut porter full pint pour for $6. Call me crazy but that's a deal.
