Black Butte XXV... holy shit this party has time travel!

They have the DFH/Maui Liquid Breadfruit Collaboration which I don't think I've ever seen on draft.

 

I'm gonna be drunk tomorrow.....

Who all is going to the Draught House tomorrow? My girlfriend is at a meeting all day tomorrow so I'm flying solo.

 

I hope to be there at 1pm but will only be able to stay for a couple of hours.

 

I'll be there at 1, but plan on leaving once it takes more that 15 minutes to get a beer, which I estimate will be by 4.

 

Just got back from Red's Porch. (512) Two paired great with shrimp and grits. (512) WBADPP paired awesome with chocolate chip waffle as dessert. Highly recommended.

 

So Draught House Anni Party throws out DR 1-12 in bottles. Oh, geez.

 

Draught House party was fun, but their rotation was super slow. I got there at 1, and left around 6:30, and almost all the same kegs were still on. There was a bunch of stuff I was waiting for on their list that never came out during that time.

I don't know if they were going to rush out the 12 beers still on the list that hadn't come out yet by 6:30, but its crazy that people can stay there over 5 hours without almost any of the beers changing. That really disappointed me.

 

Yeah, a friend and I had the same experience. If it's anything like last year, they'll end up not getting to those kegs tonight, and tapping them at the bar in the next week or so.

I wanted to try the 2 new JK sours (brown and red) as well as the Real Ale sour they had listed, but they never came out while I was there.

Love was the clear winner for me, with Grapefruit IPA and Pie Spice Oktoberfest also impressing

 

I had a sip of my brother's NB Love, and it was excellent. At that point, I was out of tickets and ready to head out and get some food, so I didnt get a whole sample, but I agree that that one was excellent. And while the Pie Spice didn't make it into my top 3, it was really good and I'd definitely drink it again.

 

I worked til 7 so i just went home and had 3 bottles of Boulevards Zon Wit, 2 real ales brewers cut quads and a stones smoked vanilla bean porter, paired with my wifes baked ziti.

can anyone bring me some chocolate for dessert?

What a great event, I still think that Black Butte XXIV is the greatest thing ever.

 

I loved the tap list at Draught House, but was disappointed they did the staggered tappings. I was there somewhat early and stoked to try the RU-55, but it wasn't tapped. Apparently I'll have to try and hit up DH this week for a taste. I think the format for their party could be revised so that the tapping times are set in stone. Or have less taps on at once.

My apologies,

our party was a little slower this year so we weren't killing kegs as fast. Next year I am going get more equipment and tap most everything right away with a few timed tappings.
