I'm not sure if it's been brought up but I noticed a little typo on the otherwise flawless and excellent graphic design for Heavy Machinery...
    12 oz = ~355 ml, 16 oz = ~475ml

Nice catch! I was caught up on the novelty condoms and carrot juicers.

Yeah, can't say I've always been up on the latest beer news/updates (or even am now/ever), but before moving to Texas from CA, I knew of 0 craft places from TX. Sure there are some great beers, but they don't get distro out of state much, so it's not very newsworthy...I guess?
Best way to get TX beer is trading, and without some hype or whatever, I'd bet it kind of sucks for TX traders.

All this talk of Heavy Machinery makes me a little sad I passed on it when I first saw it I think June 4 (had other D/IPAs to drink in the fridge). Definitely want to try now, see if it's really good or just homer-ism:stuck_out_tongue:
Anyone know if East 1st still has it? Edit: Their twitter said they had it yesterday. Save one 4pk for me!

I have to say this was a great release and I'm happy I grabbed a four pack. The packaging was great too, alot of fun.

IMHO, this is what makes the Austin beer scene better than anywhere else in Texas. I don't see people offering to help other people nearly as much.

We did catch that, but only after the labels had been submitted to and approved by the TTB and TABC. It just goes to show you what our government thinks about the metric system.

We decided to leave it in as a kind of a unit nerd test. You passed. And, by the way, it's 473.18 ml.

So I did an Enjoy by yesterday and HM today. Both great, but I prefer the HM. The HM has a fuller and more complex flavor, but doesn't have the grapefruit notes of Enjoy. For the price, this is a lopsided debate. I really hope ABW revisits this recipe in the future. I'll buy more than the case I did this time.

I love this beer and hope they make it again someday. I enjoyed the HM Black IPA even more and CANNOT wait until it is available in cans.

I had Enjoy By on tap yesterday. It was better, in my memory, than 4.01 was. I probably liked it more than HM, but it was close. Factor in price, and it's no contest. I need me more HM, and I need it now.

So good, I'd be happy with a just a 4-pack as an annual release. Again please ABW.

It's possible we could remake this beer on an annual basis, but the hops it requires (and it requires a lot of them) are just too rare to make it year-round.

The Half IPA would be a more likely year-round candidate so hopefully y'all like that one, too.
