Hi folks, I'll be going to Austin for super bowl weekend with a large group for a bachelor party (12-14 guys). I'll be staying in downtown and I have already been to Austin so I know about CraftPride and Bangers, and have also ventured out to Jester King, and I know that is a must. This time around I intend to visit Pinthouse Pizza as well.

So my questions are, is there a good place you could recommend that could welcome such a large group for the Super Bowl and have good beer? Some guys in our group like craft beer, but not all, so I guess having good food and a nice sports ambiance would be key. Also would appreciate it if you guys know if a reservation is required.

Also, is there a good page I can search for beer related events in Austin for that weekend?

    Thanks

    Pinthouse Pizza plays sports.

May not be the biggest of TVs, but they always have the NFL on.

Other options would be Haymaker (not my favorite since they have beer menus with no prices and tend to be random on if normal prices or over priced).

Generally speaking, bars (especially craft beer bars) are pretty dead on Super Bowl Sunday, so I'm sure your large group will be warmly welcomed anywhere.

The problem is finding one with a bunch of TVs to watch the game.

4th Tap will also be open if you want a brewery - but they only will have their beer.

4th Tap is pretty far from downtown unless you have cars for everyone.

Pinthouse has pitcher specials during NFL games, plenty of beer options, good food and awkwardly located TVs
ABGB might play the game on the projector, you should contact them to make sure
Waller Creek Pub - downtown with lots of TVs and food, full bar too

This may not be a popular vote but Draft Pick on Riverside has A TON of TV's and a great selection of TX Draft Beers. I've always had good luck while there. Their food is so/so but the beer selection doesn't suck. Also, TONS of space.
