Hi there. We are here in Austin every year around this time and usually make a visit to Jester King, Draught House, Sunrise, Bangers, Pinthouse. Looking for anything new in Austin that may have popped up over the last year. Also any noteworthy events this week. Any favorite local readily available brews you guys would recommend (for example something I can pick up from Whole Foods or Specs)? Picked up a 6 pack of Community Mosaic and enjoying it currently. Austin Beer Works is selling 4-packs of Sputnik, which is pretty cool. It's pretty easy to check out Cuvee Coffee (great coffee and beans, but they also have a nice beer selection), Zilker, East 1st Grocery, La Barbecue of another of the BBQ food trucks and Hops and Grain (I love visiting this spot). Also in the vicinity of those mentioned above is a place called Blue Owl that seemed to be catching some buzz when I was out there most recently (July, I think).
Just noticed that 512 Brewing announced they'll have their Whiskey BA Double Pecan Porter hitting accounts this week. Also, any bar you go in, you should make a point to ask if they have any Bishop's Barrel bottles. I haven't been disappointed by any of those yet.
