Austin Trip Review/Thoughts

You already have quite a nice list there, so I'm having a hard time expanding on it. Since you've already added Meanwhile, the only other recommendations I'd make are for St. Elmo and Blue Owl if they're not already on your list.

 

Whether warranted or not (I’ll let locals be the judge, since I’m biased as a transplant/expat here!), Austin and central Texas breweries have developed a reputation for their lagers.

I’m wondering what to make of all of it, though, when I see something like a Danish lager or Pilsner on tap while poking around at the offerings to be had. Is this another example of a style expansion, a la the Italian Pilsner? Or just another name for something that already exist (like the aforementioned Italian Pils, at least depending on who you speak with)?
