Austin Vertical Tasting fillers BCBS and DL's

Not that I can help you, but I've heard word that Dark Lord from 08 and back are past their prime and not very good.

I'd hate for you to go out of your way and trade too much for beers that I have heard aren't good at this point.

If you do get them, I hope I've heard wrong.

 

I had an 08 BCBS last night, and while it was still good, it did seem a little past it's prime.

 

I've got a couple bottles of 2011 BCBS that I could add. Don't live in Austin, but I visit there often enough with wife's family in town. So, with some notice I can make it. I also have a 10-12 KBS vert and 09, 11 (and 12 by this weekend!) La Muerta vert to share. Do you plan on doing any of the BCBS varients too as part of the vert?

 

I did 06-12 DL recently and can tell you that storing conditions are going to be pretty important with the older bottles. 06 was....interesting.....I guess....while 07 was down right disgusting. '08 was pretty great.

The thing is, I've heard from others that 06 is still fine, and 07 has been peoples favorites! I think we may have gotten a bottle that was aged in a guys back seat for 5 years.

I can share a 1yr vertical of Mikkeller whiskey BA Black Hole.

 

Just off on a few years... but have the 08 BCBS and 09 Older Viscosity. Thought I'd had it... as it's the older shaped bottle... but it's the 09. Have Angel's Share, Deliverance, and KBS but not sure of vintage. Oh, and I might be able to get my wife to part with her Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Ale if someone needs their drains unclogged! :-)

 

I had the 07' at DLD this year and it was excellent.

 

Pretty sure I have 07 Old and Older Viscosity and 06 DL and BCS. I know I have a bunch of 07 and 08 DL.
