    FT: 3L Prairie Artisan Ales Eli5abeth - American saison barrel-aged w/ apricots
ISO: Donations for a great cause

Chase Healey was inspired to help his sister in her fight against cancer. He created this beer with the hopes of doing just that. That has inspired me to do something good with it. Those of you that know me are aware that my son is on the autism spectrum (among other neurological issues) and The Autism Center of Tulsa is an important part of our lives (and countless others’ lives in our community). They are a two-woman operation that has done some amazing good and have some programs in the works that many believe will become national models. They are funded entirely by private donations and are a 501c3 non-profit that you can check out on Guidestar.

All of that said, for every $10 you donate to them using the link at the bottom of this post, I will enter your name in a drawing for a 3-liter bottle of this very special beer. Chase Healey, has given his blessing for this cause and I’m relatively certain I can get him to autograph the bottle if so desired.

Most of the bottle shops that received these bottles held lotteries for the chance to purchase one bottle for $80-90+tax. Due to the generosity and willingness of some good friends to help in this campaign, I was lucky enough to purchase 3 bottles, one at the shop’s actual cost and another at a discount. I’m happy to scan and provide receipts if that’s, for whatever reason, helpful in establishing legitimacy. All of that is to say that if donations reach the threshold of $2,500, I’ll draw for a second bottle to give away and a third if we reach $5,000.
All donations will go directly to The Autism Center of Tulsa and I will never have possession or control of any of the money. Drawing will be done on the specified date and names will be randomly selected using a basic random selection program written by a programming student at the high school where I teach.

BONUS: The first drawing will include the framed print in the attached image. It was purchased and donated by fellow local beer geek, Heath Glover who also had it professionally framed at Tulsa’s most respected frame shop. It’s signed 2 of 50 by the artist Colin Healey (Chase’s brother and partner at Prairie who designs all of their labels and artwork and many believe is the most talented of the brothers).

To be clear, The Autism Center of Tulsa has created a special grassroots fundraising page for me but they are not aware that any alcoholic beverage is involved – I’m not sure they’d care but I don’t want them running afoul of any legal issues regarding raffles or anything like that – and have not endorsed anything along those lines. They ARE happy that I’m trying to fundraise and do right by them. This is not a raffle… it is me soliciting donations for them. I am however, as an individual offering an incentive to donate.

    Donate at https://www.firstgiving.com/ACT/yoshi-grassroots-fundraising/fundraisers

Just click on the green “Join Now” button and remember each increment of $10 will earn you a shot at the 3-liter bottle of Prairie Artisan Ales Eli5abeth (barrel-aged American saison with apricots).
