So its good to have 2 new breweries in NNJ, seems like so many good ones are in the southern half of the state (cheaper real estate i suppose). Anyway thoughts on these 2 from anyone who has had both, i have but haven't had too many varieties . AD seems to have the hazy IPA dialed in pretty well whereas Oakflower has a broader range of styles, so far so good for both. And please chime in if there are new gems up this way I am missing. The real midpoint is roughly Princeton although i unofficially think its Route 78 but that would be a great argument thread, and what about central NJ? cheers
I’ve been to Oakflower several times and was just at Autodidact for the second time about a week ago. I enjoy both places. Oakflower is a bit small but is nicely decorated. I enjoy their beers quite a bit and like that they have 12 oz cans as a change of pace. Great coffee stout. Autodidact had some really tasty beers when I recently visited. Seems like mostly IPAs but there were a few nice other offerings. Bigger place and also nice vibe inside. Lots of can options.
