Looks like the discharge chute could be longer and have some sides, or maybe include a big nylon sock of sorts that could be easily attached (Velcro?, snaps?) to help direct the crushed grains to the receiving container.

To springboard off of the comments that @riptorn made above, via my experiences with grain mills I am 'conditioned' to think of them resting on the top of a plastic bucket (12 inches in diameter). Maybe design this automatic grain bill so that it can be placed on top of a bucket? Or would the weight to be too large for this 'feature'?

    Cheers!

Pretty cool. If you can devise a way to deliver the crushed grains reliably to a bucket and keep this around $400, I'd say you have a winner.

How does it handle hard wheat at the smallest gap?

I just received my December issue of BYO in the mail and there is a one page ad for the Ss brewtech automatic mill on page 3.

I wonder how many homebrewers will be purchasing this new product?

    Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions folks. We’ll test out these suggestions and see what we can do to get a smoother delivery to the bucket.

It works well. We’ve tested it at different gap settings and there’s no problem at any of the settings so far.

We did discuss the bucket method, but it seems like the equipment like ours would be too heavy for that. We’ll have to come up with something else for this.

Will discuss this, test this out and see if it is a feasible method. Thanks!

Hey guys! Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. We’ll be posting updates about the grain mill more regularly, and we would love to continue to have your input and opinions as we develop this grain mill. Right now, we will definitely be changing the outlet slide to exit straight down as that is what the most of you prefer. We want to keep listening to your suggestions as you guys are one of the first groups of people we have publicly shared the product with and received feedback from.

Took some time to pass customs and pass inspections but it's finally here. Running tests over the holidays.
