I am trying to put together an Autumn Ale DME recipe I can order from a local HBS which is going through a rough patch. This would be something of a hybrid between SN Tumbler and a strong Southern English Brown ale. I put it through the brew calculator and it seems to fit okay. Batch: 1.25 gal Boil: 1.5 gal 60 min boil DME: 2lb Amber Steeping grain: 2oz Caramalt 1oz Chocolate 1oz Cherry Smoked Hops: (Trying to keep it at only 1 type of hop) .5 oz Fuggle at 30min .5 oz Fuggle at 10min Yeast: US-05 Per the calculator that comes out to ABV 7.36, IBU 36.11 SRM 17.26 OG 1.069 FG 1.013 What do you think? [The wife may request maple syrup which would alter things a bit too.]
