Not sure if this was posted elsewhere - but tickets went on sale today...

Thanks a ton. No idea how I completely spaced this. Still tickets as of a few minutes ago. Seems like a summer miracle.

Did they change the date that tickets went on sale? I had it marked down as this Friday (7/29) at noon. Either way, thanks for the heads up!

Did they up the number of tickets being sold? Tickets are still readily available 24 hours after they went on sale. I've got an uneasy feeling about this...

website says it's limited to 3,500.

I'm nearly certain they changed the on-sale date.

Looks like a few of the local beer publications had the correct day (Tuesday), but incorrect date (7/29, instead of 7/26) listed in their announcements.

These didn't sell out immediately last year either, IIRC.

When the 6-pack or all-in-tickets or whatever they're called went on sale, they advertised that the Autumn Brew Review tickets would go on sale on Friday, 7/29. I remember because I put that date down in my calendar back then. Looks like somewhere between then and a few weeks/months ago that date changed to Tuesday, 7/26.

I had to go back & look but you're right. It was 2014 that sold out in minutes, although tickets were 'released' from holds through the first hour. Nice that we still have a really good festival that you don't have to trample your neighbor to get tickets for...yet.

So I've never been to ABR, is it one of the best fests locally? Lots of special releases?

    Yes, yes.

Last year: Black Gold, BA Silhouette, Vanilla Rye, BC Coffee, BADSDB, and a bunch more.

...and the year before that I hung around the Bell's booth drinking BA Batch 9000 for, oh, I really don't recall how long. Or what year it was.

Sounds like myself and @nicow5 - I think we stopped at the CW booth everytime we moved from one brewery to another and were amazed that there was no line for Black Gold.

I was just going to make this same comment about no line for Black Gold last year. I even said as much to the people working the booth as I drank my pour then proceeded to get another one without taking a step.

I was there drinking BA Batch 9000 too (3 years ago?) right after the gates opened. I'll never forget how good it was.

I was completely shocked by this too, also made two trips! Everyone seemed to be hovering around either the Goose Island Tent for Bourbon County, Lift Bridge for BA Silhouette, and or Bent Paddle for BADSDB. All fantastic beers, but Black Gold takes the cake in my opinion. Hopefully, the masses are still in the dark about this beer come September.

I hope to get to have this experience this year. That will only happen if people stop talking about it.
Anyway, sure excited about what Bad Weather will bring to ABR, everyone should get in line for them... :astonished:

Splitting hairs but Black Gold was kicked by the time they released BA Silhouette. We tried to go back for one more pour before we got in line for BA Sil and they were finally out.

BA Sil tapped right at the end of the fest so naturally I went through the line 10 times and then wrestled @nicow5 on the way to the parking lot.

Dammit, I thought wresting was not allowed at ABR. Or was it more MMA? That is allowed.

This is the only place where I will revisit past new breweries who made a flawed mistake or two who I left off my buying purchases. Sometimes newer breweries need a second chance and I have found this to be ideal setup for me.
