My wife and I will be visiting LA near the end of april from Seattle. Our schedule is pretty tight so I won't have too much time to visit too many shops, but I was wondering what I would be expected to find at a Whole Foods store? I would really like to try some Alpine products and Speedway stouts (and maybe some Sculpin and Citra). Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance! Joe.
You can probably find Speedway and Sculpin at a Whole Foods. Alpine will take more work. Citra- look for a large display next to the shea butter bath products.
Won't hurt to ask, but I highly doubt you are going to find any Alpine or Citra. Citra was brewery release only and Alpine is just so limited that it is getting harder to get in SD. Maybe Willy or Irish Red, but really hard to get Nelson, PH, or Duet.
Your best bet around LA would be Wally's or Stearns Liqour in Long Beach. But as other have stated, you probably won't find any Nelson, or Citra on the shelf.
