https://www.beeradvocate.com/lists/state/tx/ Is this the list of the beers rated as tasting best in Texas? Seems an obvious yes and leads to my next question; I live in north east Texas so what's the likelihood of finding any of those in stores or liquor stores?
Quickly looking at the top 25, 4 are year round (Yellow Rose, LO Hefe, Mosaic IPA and St. A Endeavour). I can find all readily in Houston, but I think St. A is the only one who is solidly distributed throughout the state currently
If you are looking in DFW area, you can regularly find (as TTUJohn pointed out) Yellow Rose, Live Oak, Mosaic on shelves. Deep Ellum is always available, as is Dankasaurus and Temptress. Legion may be seasonal as well as ThreeLegged Lab, but when they are in season, they are on shelves. FunkMetal, Foudreweizen, and RU-55 were all recently available from JK, although a little more effort is required. Good luck
Live Oak just pulled distribution from DFW. There is probably some Hefe still available but there may not be or for much longer. And most Jester King beers are only available at the brewery or are difficult to find.
Spec's, HEB, Whole Foods, Central Market, Total Wine and in some places Kroger ... those are good starting points. You might have another bottle shop/grocery store closer to you but will have to ask around and do some hunting. The likelihood of finding all 100 of those beers is near impossible in the short term, but with patience you could find them all if you really wanted. I've reviewed 38 over the past five years buying mainly from the stores mentioned above -- with the exception of Jester King. I've bought most of JK's stuff at their brewery (which is worth the trip if you get the chance to go).
sorry for the late reply, I live in north east texas, longview area. It's okay if I can't find them all, mostly looking to enhance my tasting experience. I'll check out some of the stores listed, thanks all!
