Tell me about it. Such a tasty beer, I loved the malt to hop balance! (No DUI's here though. I take that pretty seriously, not to chide or lecture you).

That's a Top 100 beer, so I think that's a little better than "average acclaimed."

Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat. According to BA ratings it isn't even a par Milk/Cream Stout (avg rating 3.75, style avg 3.8). Can't fathom that. Have drunk a ton of this beer. Always happy to see it on a shelf or menu.

Clown Shoes' Flight of the Pimp has ONLY a 3.89 overall rating on here, but it blew me away with the strong brown ale taste and the subtlety of the bourbon flavors

As many have said.....Boston Lager is top notch and readily available. A gateway brew for many and a life-raft in a public filled with BMC slated menus.

Lagunitas Maximus. One of my favorites.

I had a Sierra Pale Ale on draft a while back that completely blew me away.

I've had it a half dozen times since and it hasn't even come close to that initial rekindling.

    My conclusion.
That beer is still incredible if it is incredibly fresh.

Isn't it awesome to have a completely unhyped, year round, widely available beer that is rated highest in its style?

Hardly rated "average" wouldn't you say?

Mine would be Victory Dark Intrigue. That beer blew me away, others not so much.

Mad River Brewery Steelhead Extra Pale Ale, Porter and Extra Stout are excellent! Also, Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale is fantastic!

Couldn't agree more on the Sweetwater IPA. One of my top 5 IPA's. Love the 420 and the new LowRyder also. If you like the the 420 and IPA, try to get the 420 IPA Dank Tank that they had out this past year. Awesome.

Sam Adams Wee Heavy, one of my favorites, which is rated Good by BA's and Average by The Bros. I don't see it often, but I like to pick it up a 4-pk and enjoy it over a period of several months as it holds up really well.
