Russian River has innumerable beers that end in "tion"...as far as the supplementation (bad spelling of former ref...concerning added extract). The sublimation just came to mind after several IPAs....my bad...cheers

Not much going on here...yes, supplentation was bad spelling for supplementation (refering to adding extract when you mash tun is too small for an Imperial Stout... sublimation...well, that can be looked up after a few beers:slight_smile:...and the "tion" thing referred to Russian River's penchant for naming beers ending in "tion". Cheers and thanks for asking

My heart skipped a beat. I misread the title and thought you had another pre poll somewhere that I missed.

I voted English bitter. It comes up a lot on the forum and it's time to weigh in. There are too few commercial bitters that I actually like. Here's to hoping.

I voted stout, and was considering porter or Belgian strong ale.

Thanks for setting this up VikeMan. I hadn't restarted brewing when the APA IPA polls were happening, and it looks like that whole process was a lot of fun. Glad I'll be able to participate.

I voted porter. But a crowd sourced stout would be awesome as well. Either one should make for some interesting conversation, because I'd be willing to bet that after IPA, porter/stout is probably the style about which folks have the strongest opinions.

    Looking forward to this!

Thanks for all the work you put into this forum, VikeMan.

A vote for an English Brown.
    Proper of course.
I look forward to the project.

    Cheers

Stout: it's what's for dinner. Or breakfast.

I'm all for a good Porter, although it looks like Stout has the early lead. I'm happy to try my hand at whatever beer emerges from this.

Actually, you may be the first person that has ever come up with a less-than-stellar idea after several IPAs. I can't imagine this kind of thing happening to me, of course.

I'm a bit on the fence over a stout, or an American ale (pale? strong?). I think that a pale ale would lend itself well to the format, strong ale and stout a bit less so (but it's certainly do-able). Only thing about a pale ale is it might possibly come out at least vaguely resembling the APA IPA.

So my vote is for American ale, but stout would be my 2nd choice, and it's only my 2nd by a small margin.

So is a RIS in contention then...or are we talking about a "traditional" one?
