    I wouldn't use THAT much.

    But we're not there yet.

    Fun and beer....

I would like Special B and Candi Syrup, but was thinking C45.... Maybe I just don't know how it will behave in the beer so don't understand it totally.

I think it's probably best classified as a hybrid malt, so I just making sure the initial list of ingredients didn't exclude it. As far as pH and buffering properties go a very similar malt -- Briess Exra Special -- doesn't fall on the standard crystal-malt curve. Cheers!

"Colour comes from dark candi / Special B / both" (or something) would be an interesting poll...

I understand the rules, but since 94% of people voted for sugar it might be simpler to count it as IN too and then move on to the runoff

Eh, I only voted for sugar/syrup so it would advance. I want to hear people's arguments about syrup vs. dark caramel malts vs. both.

At least everyone voted for there to be a base malt. Otherwise we might have to throw this whole poll out!

Okay, Generic Two Row and/or Pale Ale Malt and/or Pilsner is/are IN.

Mathematically, at least 66.7% voted for both "CaraPils and/or Other Cara/Crystal Malt(s)" and "Sugar, Sugar Products, and/or Honey." It would be oh so tempting to declare them both IN, however it's quite possible more than a few voters simply wanted them both to advance for further consideration in a narrower context (which is the reason for the combo polls).

The next poll(s) will determine the base malt(s). After that, we'll look at "CaraPils and/or Other Cara/Crystal Malt(s)" and/or "Sugar, Sugar Products, and/or Honey" using a combination poll for just those two. Then we'll resolve the exact type(s) of "CaraPils and/or Other Cara/Crystal Malt(s)" and/or "Sugar, Sugar Products, and/or Honey" to advance to the three way combo poll(s). etc. So here's where we stand:

Generic Two Row and/or Pale Ale Malt and/or Pilsner: IN.
Sugar, Sugar Products, and/or Honey: possibly in
    CaraPils and/or Other Cara/Crystal Malt(s): possibly in
Munich and/or Vienna Malt(s): possibly in
    Aromatic/Aroma Malt: possibly in
