Whoa... I saw one of those at Marty's the other day... It was awesome fresh. An absolute Brett bomb. I cannot imagine that it is drinking good at this point. It was pretty raw and rot gut to start with (In a good way). I have not had a lot of luck aging simular brett forward beers (Flemish Primative series, Reinhart, Les Deux Brasseurs). They fall off real quick and the brett takes over in a very very bad way. Think sewage. I was gonna buy one at Marty's the other day for the sake of science. Please report back if you open one.
I've got one that I've been waiting to harvest the yeast from. Supposedly it is the Drie strain of Brett. It just got released from White Labs for homebrewers this month. I'll open it soon.
I opened one last weekend and it was horrible. So much to the point my buddy and I had to drain pour it. Not a good one to age.
my review from 2011. got some good laughs drinking that beer. i kind of liked it despite myself. it's like the bad news bears of brett beers. the bad news bears lose in the end right?
Finally got around to opening this one. Tasted like those green olives with pimentos in them. While I love those olives, I don't want to drink a liquid version of them.
I had this one and reviewed March of last year and liked it quite a bit. I think I picked it up at Liquor World. Some funky stuff. I know a lot of people didnt like it to begin with. It's 100% brett fermented, right?
Supposed to be the Drie strain, and one of the strains that Chad Y. at Crooked Stave uses in his beers, though I think he uses many.
I opened my last one about two months ago and thought it was awesome. Massive mango/funk aroma, dry as fuck. IMO, it's drinking great.
