that is a serious issue. Russian River specifically doesnt distribute Pliny unless the stores are going to keep them cold

It depends. Ben E. Keith keeps most of their craft beer refridgerated. Brown has just built a huge new refrigerated warehouse as well.

Because I have had both and actually had the Twenty fresh. Double Jack is better, especially now that the Twenty is 4 months old.

It's fared better on tap. Had some on 8/31 and it was much more like a fresh bottle than the bottle I had 2 weeks earlier.

I had XX at the Draught House I think the first week of August and it was damn good. I don't think I'll pick a bottle up though.

Picked one up at Sunrise, W Anderson Ln, Austin last week. Drank just fine to me. Benchmarks are said fresh Pliny, Enjoy By, Sculpin and Double Jack plus Maharaja. It's a dank, potent brew built to last a few months.

I don't notice a huge difference in 2 month old Sculpin and 7 day old Sculpin. I think it holds up pretty well. Super fresh Big Eye on the other hand, is a wonder to behold.

Anything past 3 weeks on Sculpin is not just not good, but really bad IMHO. No other beer have I found that is that time sensitive.

My experience has been different but I have only been buying Sculpin in cans.
