I'm new to posting on these boards, but been reading for a while. Does anyone know why the last three barrel series beers by Avery that were just released have not yet made it's way to California? I know they've already been distributed to the east coast weeks ago, but as far as I know and seen Tectum, Insula, and Fortuna have not yet made it to Los Angeles. Is their distribution to the west coast a little slower for whatever reason?

It's also even stranger because their Raspberry Sour made it's way to LA the day after it was released at Avery.

I know this is the Colorado message board and I'm asking about California, but I figured that an Avery rep would be more likely to see this question here. Thanks for any insight

The release notes say "parts of CA". Not sure where you live in CA but maybe it's in the wrong part? Just a guess. CA tends to get Avery pretty close to the release date here.

I just chatted with our LA rep... without going into boring details of legalizing beers in every state. it sounds like Tectum and Insula arrived at Stone Distributing yesterday and Fortuna is on a truck right now. With some solid amounts for the LA area (between 70 and 100 cases of each beer for LA/Orange County)

If you're trying to find more exact places to look, I can pass along our LA rep's email address. She has a much better idea of what's going on out there than I do.

    Rock on...

awesome thanks...that's interesting I didn't even think about the fact that every new beer would need to be legalized/approved before distribution. Given that fact it would make sense that the one off's in the barrel aged series would take the longest to make it's way out to CA

they have lots to buy and lots of oldies as well. slight markup on the older ones, but the variety is great. Ross', Thensarum, 5 Monks all there two weekends ago. Plus other beers. You will not be disappointed on the visit.
