Glad to hear it's well-received - any idea on when this will hit shelves? Thx!

I would think some CO stores will have it this week. Next week at the latest.

I am sure glad I got 18 for friends that bailed on me and I will now have extras! It was quite delectable! Cannot wait to see how this guy ages.

Is it just me being a homer or does this blow KBS and BCBCS out of the water? homer simpson drooling picture

Just cracked my first one tonight and was thinking the same...I think I really would take this over those others. Not by some huge margin, BCBCS is one of my favorites, but damn, this Tweak is awesome.

Sounds like a blind tasting throwdown could solve this dilemma.

I walked up to Avery at 4pm yesterday and walked out with 4 Tweak bottles. Popped one last night and it was great. Glad I have a few more!

I'll be on the lookout for when this hits shelves... I didn't buy nearly enough. For some reason I had low expectations, but trying my first completely shattered those. It does seem different from the tap room releases, but no worse IMO.

You know what's the best part about Tweak?

They're going to make it again next year. How awesome is that! I wish we would see Black Eye or Momi again but annual Tweak releases will definitely pacify me.

My biggest take-away with Tweak (and other releases like Black Eye and their barrel-room beers) is that Avery has seemingly found a way to make really strong beers taste more mellow than they are. Granted, I still think Rumpkin is fiery as hell, but overall they're doing that better than anyone else. I'm really sensitive to booziness and they've won me over. It sounds funny, but they make a 17% beer taste like its "only" 8-9%, which while strong is a different animal.

Avery is on a serious roll (has been for some time) and Tweak is a great beer. As it warms in the glass, I'm picking up some amazing tobacco and leather. Just a super deep and dark sipper.

Anyone seen Tweak hitting the shelves down south yet?

Problem is, all they do is end up costing me beer money AND gas money as I have to stop at different stores :grimacing:

I haven't had Tweak or KBS, but I thought Pump(ky)n was nearly on par with Bourbon County Stout. If Goose Island made a Bourbon County Pumpkin Stout I don't think it could be much better than Pumpkyn, if at all. And I'm from Illinois too.

Guess I may check this Tweak thing out. I wrote off Avery's stronger beers for years but in the last 6 weeks I've drank and either liked or loved Rumpkin, Pumpkyn and Samael. Have a 5 Monks waiting in the fridge right now.
