Yep. It's unlikely they will run out. The last time that happened was Volunt Plus Erat, which was something like 55 cases.

Given it's stout release, I've got my fingers crossed they will tap a keg of BA Tweak. Wishful thinking perhaps.

I would love it if at Black Eye they make a special announcement of when Tweak will be bottled.

How crowded do these events get? It just so happens that I'll be in Boulder on the 13th and while I've been to Avery a handful of times, I've never been in town during a release. If I come down around 2, will the brewery be packed (well, more so than an average Sunday) or will I be able to grab a few bottles and get some tasters without it being a shitshow?

It is busier than most Sunday's, but Avery does a great job of keeping everything together. Based upon the allotment you should be able to grab some bottles, up to 12, a few tasters and enjoy some beers with friends. I have always had a great time at the Avery releases.

I'll be out of town for the Black Eye release, so if anyone is able to grab me some bottles I can repay the favor in beer or $. BM me!

How long do these bottles stick around? I'll be in CO on the following Thurs. and was planning on making a stop.

These bottle releases are only available at the brewery the day they release. Whatever is left afterwards is sent to distribution. They usually hit shelves in CO about a week after the release so I would say your chances are good for finding it in a bottle shop.

But it looks like 5 Monks is scheduled for release on July 27th...silver lining?

Kudos to Avery for holding off and releasing a beer when it's ready.

I cannot be happier to read this...even if it does make things a hair inconvenient for some folks. Too many places force beers out the door to make a release date and in the long run it burns everyone.

Screw that, put a "best after" date on them like Deschutes does with every single release. Completely kidding of course. Avery is a bunch of legends and this is one more reason why.

If anyone is still interested: Rufus Corvus was available aplenty at Wallaby's and Grapevine. $13ea if I remember correctly.

I was very much looking forward to Black Eye tomorrow and it's a shame it's not ready. But I agree that waiting is the way to go. I'd rather have it right rather than right now.

I really wish they would have made a louder announcement than a single FB post...

Would have saved me a drive an hour drive to Boulder.

Always a good idea to sign up for their newsletter. They announced the cancellation there too, didn't see it anywhere else though (I'm not on Twitter).

Wish I would've known this earlier. We've been up to the Black Hills, getting back after midnight last night. I work nights and the Mrs went over to pick it up for me today while I slept, not knowing it was postponed. Disappointed for sure but will survive. Wish they'd go back to Friday releases so I could make it versus having to find mules
