i am trying to get whatever beers from the series i can get and was wondering.

What do the beers in the series trade for?

Around the time they are released, I generally haven't found them too tough to trade for, particularly as the bottle counts have risen substantially. Decent limited releases should get it done. Some of the early releases in the series might be tough, though.

as stated earlier, some of the earlier releases will be a bit harder. Also, some make it to limited local distro, while others were brewery only releases (harder to get, and the limit was 6 if I recall correctly).

There was someone about a month ago trying to unload his whole series, and I don't think he got any bites so if you really want them and have some big beers to cough up, I'd take a look at his ISO.

You definitely want to seek-out Odio Equum.

Oud Floris too... one of the best of the series.

Most of the later BA releases are in the 150-200 case batch sizes and run about $11/bottle one-time releases, so take that for what it's worth. Extremely limited local distribution to Boulder/Denver.

Both Odio Equum and Oud Floris should be fairly easy to get. They don't seem to be on everyone radar, which is odd as they are both very good.

As others have said oud floris and odio are some of the best. I'd also put Dihos up there. Wouldn't trade for Brabant though, beer has fallen off completely.

Uncle Jacobs and Rumpkin are very good.

Uncle Jacobs saw a very limited number to Houston last year and Rumpkin didn't even make it.

None of the sour flavors have hit Houston that I know of.

Yea, I think that's because Uncle Jacob's & Rumpkin aren't technically part of the barrel aged series, they are both annual (kinda) releases and much larger batch sizes (500+ cases).

The barrel-aged series were all one-offs and were brewery only release (maybe 120-200 case batches) with limited local distribution of any bottles left after brewery release.

I think this greatly depends on which you go bottle you want. Odio Equum and Oud Floris should be fairly easy to obtain. Some of series are now a few years old and have smaller batches under 100 cases and saw limited to no distro.

Out of what I have tried, less then half of them, Odio Equum and Oud Floris have been the best two IMO.

    Happy hunting!

Yeah, they did sneak that word Annual on the label before Barrel Series. lol

Good to know, but just happy that out of 512 cases we got some in TX. Might not happen again though. :slight_frown:

You're right. Might not make it out again now that people know how good it is.
