I live in the willowbrook area and I have been looking for the dictator and demon series in and around the area. Has anyone seen any of this other then their regulars that they pump out to everyone? Looking for the Samaels, Beast, Mephistopheles, Czar or the Kaiser Thanks for the help guys
Samael's, Beast, and Meph are seasonals, though they tend to sit around for a long while. You should be seeing Samael's soon if not already; Meph was the most recent other release in that series. If you're looking for Beast and/or Meph right now, your best bet would probably be a less frequented liquor or grocery store that carries craft.
It's not in the Woodlands but D&Q is usually good for a Demon series. Czar is still hanging around, I bought 2 at Specs on Holcombe in the med center. No sign of the Kaiser.
Think Kaiser is a seasonal since it's an Oktoberfest, so whatever is out there is probably from last fall. And not to hijack this thread, but it reminds me... I want to know when we're going to see Lilikoi in cans. I thought that was happening soon?
I've heard that but I have never been to that location. I'd also check out Whole Foods. I've seen the Dictator series there as well as their Barrel Series.
The releases of Czar and Kaiser were in very small quantities this past year, at least in Austin. I'm talking one case per account. That might be part of the problem. Demon series are always small quantity releases.
Ya, I found the czar at the HEB in vintage park, they had 2 left and I bought one which I should of bought them both but on the way home today I might stop again and try and grab it is no one has bought it yet.
And to the response of the Specs on 249 and Spring Cypress being a good location to go to. Its not really, the absolute best one to hit up is the location over on 290 and Jones, They have a phenomial slection bombers and 4 packs that ive seen anywhere.
I haven't been to that one in awhile. It used to be the best when Lisa ran the beer, but when she left so did the selection.
OK guys i got my Mephistopheles, Beast and Czar and now just looking for the Samael, Kaiser and Maharaja. Has anyone seen them or possibly have them in a collection?
I've seen Maharaja around at a few places. They have Jan 2015 bottling dates, just so you are aware it isn't fresh anymore. I think Maharaja is released in bottles only once a year.
