Avery Brewing Announces Pacer IPA

I listened to a podcast with Henry from Monkish. One thing he said that was interesting was that certain hops can add more body. He talked about how citra is great but dorado not so great. I also heard Evan from Green Cheek say he achieves more body on session ipas by using Lower alpha hops so he can add more given it more body. When Evan was at noble he brewed one of the best session ipas i’ve Ever had, nose candy.

Found it interesting that on two separate occasions specific hops were used to give a beer more body. Maybe more breweries should look to hops as opposed to just the malt bill.

Using hops to add body could help lower the calories too.

 

Isn't that almost an oxymoron?
