Wow, $10 would be...well, I don't want to say nice, but I paid $12 for a single 12oz btl. Ouch!!! I hope it's damn good. That's pretty high.

Batch 1 sits easily among my top five BBA stouts. Incredible beer. Glad I got three bottles of batch 2. :sunglasses:

Is there any left at the brewery?

I don't believe that they sell it at the brewery after release, I may be wrong for UJ though.

They don't sell it at the brewery after the release

When you buy a case and everything on the release party tap list it is horrible. While Avery is an awesome brewery it feels like a slap in the face to the locals.

You can weather it just fine. They slap the rest of us most of the time far harder--at least, until they up the capacity.

I've never had it and just got my hands on two bottles. Drink or cellar?

It's very drinkable now. I've had several bottles already.

Don't feel bad, it's not Avery messing with the locals. I have no idea how they do it but Total Wine has ridiculously low prices. I have shopped at the TW in Tustin and found a lot of stuff from the Bruery $2-3 cheaper than at the Bruery store itself (I'm not a reserve member though).

I have been hitting the shops around here religiously and have gotten 5 bottles (sharing them with a buddy). But I'm looking forward to trying one and then seeing how they age for 1-3 years.

    :astonished:

No I don't think I could easily spend $15 on three buds.... that's ludicrous.

Or on two Ruin10s, as I did in Hartford... (would cost more in Boston).

Just southern Cali. Avery pulled out of Northern Cali a couple years ago.

I've got one bottle on the way. I'll probably cellar it for 6 mo to a year. Maybe I'll be able to come across another one in the meantime.

ludicrous yes, but totally common if you live in a city like Boston, New York, etc. (and not even factoring in the tip)

yeah i've been out there. You people are crazy. Anything more than $3 for a bud in a bar is robbery. Actually, $3 for a Bud is also robbery. But that's probably the median price for it around here.

Anyone in socal having trouble finding these? I just noticed about 40-50 bottles of the current batch on the shelves at my local Bevmo in Pasadena, CA.

Not showing on their website. I didn't pick up this years, might just have to head up there. Is there a limit?
