It's out in MA. Had to pass on it as a single bomber costs the same as a 4pak of Private Rye.
Bought it in Boston about 2 weeks ago. $10/bomber, fucking marvelous! Does anyone know if there's a bottling date on it? All I could find was "Batch 17, 2013"
Yes, it's in black ink around the bottle neck area. Example: 10184B6, 10 = the first one or two digits of the top line indicate the year; 9 is 2009, 10 is 2010, etc… 184 = Julian date, B6 = the tank it was brewed in.
Hitting this week in Washington.
DEKALB HAS IT
OK, now its out in WA. over @ Fullthrottle
It seems to quarterly, much like DuganA in WA.
Foodtown in Yonkers had 10 cases last week. Picked up a couple of bottles.
in jersey now
TW in Bellevue has it.
i have two full cases at work. i also have czar and dugana. if anyone wants to trade, get at me. im looking for some cigar city cucumber saison that yam pumpkin beer from the brewery. open to stuff of the similar traits.
It's available in CA, but it's a lil too malty for me.
Where have you seen it in Jersey? I'm looking to pick up a bottle of this, tickers gotta tick.
Ahhh...Maharaja. My first introduction to IPAs. I took a sip & thought "WTF!? Grapefruit juice in beer!?" On my second sip I thought, "Well, it's actually not all that bad..."
Its out in VA. Regret not buying a bottle last weekend.
Love this stuff. There is a shop by me that has a case sitting on the shelves. May just pick em off one by one
Store by me has a case sitting on shelves, dated winter 11/12 : (
ps. Our store got fresh 2013 and I thought it was an amazing beer.
It's been on shelves in Massachusetts for at least a couple of weeks.
I had my first one a few days ago. Pretty tasty for the money - $7 a bomber. Not the best IPA I've had lately though.
Bottle king in middletown, $7.99 a bottle.
I won't lie, I didn't really know how I felt about the Maharajah. The nose is great, but the aftertaste leaves something to be desired. Then I cracked a Heady Topper and was certain I didn't think Maharajah was so great...
In suburban Detroit now.
I've seen it at Marketplace in East Brunswick, Joe Canal's Iselin, and my buddy said Stew Leonard's Paramus.
If I ever found it on draft in Chicago I would bleed that ked dry and end up in the hospital!
Spotted here in PA right next to DuganA and Kaiser
Available in PA also!
Grabbed a bottle in St Louis yesterday. 8 bucks I think...I hear its a great beer, probably drink it next week sometime.
This has been hanging around Charlotte, NC bottle shops for over a month. Haven't had any yet, and probably won't. I don't get the hype with this beer. It's a very average IIPA in my opinion. MUCH better options other there.. Still love Avery though.
