Avery Ross's's' Melange (#16) June 16

This list is very clearly missing something I can't put my finger on...

 

Almost 3x the amount from the last sour. I missed out by about 40 people and didn't get there until 5pm

 

you might want to check that list again. looks like tweak will be raining down in boulder on sunday.

 

I think Tweak and Rumpkin 50/50 mix will be tried.

 

Damn, you're right. In that case, I'll go with my original joke: That sound is the sound of Father's Day plans getting canceled all over Denver/Boulder.

I'm a little confused as to why this is 12-bottle max. I thought Odio Equum and Oud Floris were 6-bottle max and around ~150 cases, as such some hit stores in Denver. I'm afraid with this 12-bottle max none of Ross's Melange will make it to shelves... of course I'm just a bit sad it falls on Father's day and I won't be able to be at the brewery

 

I've talked to a lot of people that are in the same boat, Prospero (as am I). I'm certainly not going to question Avery's business practices; it just sucks for fathers that want the beer (I mean we're forced to choose between beer and family - unless you drag your fam to the release). I hope we'll see this hit local stores but I'm not going to hold my breath either (especially with a 12 bottle limit).

 

If it's Father's Day shouldn't you get to do what you want to do? If your wife wanted to go somewhere w/ her girlfriends and have a fun day on Mother's Day would you get pissed about it? I'd think it was great and would save me a lot of work.

 

My wife tells me to do what I want. The last three years I've gone up to the mountains fly fishing for the day. This year I'm going to go to the Avery release. I'm glad they switched the time to 4pm so that I'll be home to eat the meal my kids are making for me.

 

Yeah I hear you and see your point. I guess I'd just rather spend time with the fam on the day. Don't get to do that very often on Sundays anyways.

 

I agree. Father's Day (and Mother's Day) is a family day for us so we'll be hanging out with the kiddos at home.

It's my day so if I want to go to Avery and get blackout drunk on Tweak it is my god given right and duty to do so.

At the risk of being too up-front, around what time should I get there to ensure I get some? I was shut out of the WWBV release and I really don't want that to happen again. This is the first Avery release I've been able to make.

 

There were 123 cases left from the Momi release. I'm not thinking you are going to have a problem. n hour before if you want to drink some of their beers should be plenty of time.

 

At the Volunt Plus Erat (#14) release you were able to get bottles if you were there at least an hour before sales started. My guess is that will be the case this Sunday as well.

 

Any Parker BAs heading to this one and not getting the full 12? I'd love to try some of this but won't be able to make this one. I'm happy to pay up front and throw in a couple beers for the help. BM me if you could help.
