Just scored 2 bottles and was wondering what people think of how it's drinking right now.

Question answered: It's drinking like a slice of rum soaked pumpkin iced cake. Wow. Yes please.

Is this something you can age?

Does anybody have any Rumpkin or Uncle Jacob's left they are willing to trade? Pittsburgh didn't get either of these...

I bought 2 Rumpkins last night, buying 2 more today and have at least 1 other on reserve for Black Friday.

I don't trade (leery and don't really know anyone to trade with personally) but live on the edge of NE Philly if you were ever east of Pittsburgh.

At 18.1% abv and drinking like a spiced barleywine.
Age should only make this better.

Some will find this cloyingly sweet, but not me

But if you were to come into some East End Gratitude, I'd have to seriously consider my first trade.

Loved this beer last year. Has anyone seen this in North County San Diego?

Just scored 6 bottles. Reserved at local bottle shop by a most accommodating staff.
Waiting for pickup later this week.

    Booyah.

I have two bottles that I have been holding off on...with today being a cold, snowy Denver day and it being my "Friday," I may just have to crack one open after work

Provided you don't mind sweet, this will be perfect.
Think liquid pumpkin pie with the perfect spiced rum.

At 18.1% abv, just don't plan on doing much else.

I definitely do not mind sweet.

If i do crack it tonight (haven't been feeling so great lately so I might hold off) it will be the one then off to bed...18% is plenty for me

Whenever you choose to enjoy this phenomenal brew, let us know what you think.

I have a love for Hoppin' Frog Naked Evil and I feel like this is a spiced version of that beer.

This is my favorite beer and this year's is no different. I've had about 3 so far this year and it does get even better with some age.

It's sweet (although this year's seems to be less so), and very much tastes like rum. I love it.

    Well said.
This is my 1st vintage, so I can only imagine the "sweet" of last year's batch.

But this totally blew my mind.
I knew Avery had crafted something good before trying it based on my love for all of the Demons of Ale.
I just didn't anticipate it being this good.

Will be buying at least a sixer every year without hesitation.

Avery is beginning to challenge FW for my favorite brewery.

You should mix it with Uncle Jacobs (50/50). It is fantastic!

I only have 1 Uncle Jacob's (never tasted yet) at the moment that I'm saving for a special occasion.

But you can bet you're ass I will when I have more.

Have to say if you haven't tried UJ then drink it without mixing because that is one tasty stout. I've had plenty and mixed a few. It's one of my favorite stouts. Avery puts out some great beers.

Yeah, that was my thinking. Uncle Jacob's needs to be consumed unto itself the first few times, but I can see myself mixing in the future.

What do you think a Rumpkin/Mephistopheles would taste like?
