Anyone going this year? It's less than 2 weeks away and haven't seen much on it. Any preliminary beer list out yet?
Fantastic festival! Went two years ago. Some huge and hard to find beers were served. People started giving away their left over drink tickets, got a little rocked, then went to Back Country Pizza and split a Momi Hiwa. Through my drunken haze I still remember exactly how it taste, amazing!! After that, proceeded to walk about 2 miles to my company's showroom and crashed on a really uncomfortable sofa. Oh the memories!! This year should be pretty cool at their new location. Definitely looking forward to it!
Sneak peek of participating breweries: Allagash Brewing Co. Call to Arms Brewing Co. DogFish Head Craft Brewed Ales Dry Dock Brewing Co. Firestone Walker Brewing Co. Goose Island Beer Co. New Belgium Brewing Co. Odell Brewing Co. Oskar Blues Brewery Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Ska Brewing Co. Stone Brewing Co. The Lost Abbey ...and many more! https://www.facebook.com/events/456071007928851/ Last I heard there weren't many tickets left
I feel like last year there was a list posted about a week away. ( specific beers not just breweries).
We've got an early teaser list posted, with a good portion of the beer's that'll be pouring. http://brewtallyinsane.com/2016/02/26/avery-brewing-readies-for-14th-annual-strong-ale-fest/
What the heck is it with Odell with these local festivals? They always have some brewery only stuff on tap when you go there but they always bring stuff I can buy off the shelf (and it's sitting there a while). It's like they use these festivals to get rid of some back logged product.
Definitely going but will be there later than normal since DLD tickets go on sale at 11a mountain time. Busy Saturday fo sure....
I'm actually excited to try Dry Docks anniversary quad. Haven't pulled the trigger on it due to the price point so it'll be nice to see if it's worth it.
I had a sample at Dry Dock and was kind of underwhelmed, they do recommend you age it 8 months so that is what I'm currently doing.
Thanks, this it's great we keep getting updates. Yeah I see some beers have changed but looks like both lists are pretty consistent. Mmmmmmm bourbon barrel reverend.
As tomorrow is the festival, has anyone seen the final list? Also which beer do you think will kick first? I'm thinking either Melvin 2x4 or Salvador Cybies.
