I was planning on hitting Avery on my way back into Denver from Fort Collins on Sat the 31st. I'm afraid to do 2 Denver breweries, then drive to Avery for that release party, and have to drive back to the hotel. That seems like asking for a DUI. And that seems like a really expensive cab ride. I def should consider it though, the release list for that party is insane....

How much are these bottles usually at the release?

What time are you hitting the other breweries in Denver?

Not positive, we are doing the zoo first. I just saw on the website the party starts at 11am? Will they be selling bottles that early? I might be able to go straight there from the zoo, then back to the hotel and cab it after that. I was planning on going to Renegade, Wits End and Prost that day, but I can move something to the next Saturday when I was going to do Avery.

Avery won't sell the bottles until 5pm

I'm going to do whatever I can to make this, I'd love to bring this home to TX and try the things on tap. If you get there around 6-7 is there still usually a long line to buy the release?

Probably no line by then anymore. But hopefully they still have some bottles left? (My inkling is there will be.)

I hope people aren't as crazy about hoarding as they are in TX. Anything someone mentions might be limited gets bottle limits and truck chasers.

There won't be a line and pretty sure there should be some left. 267 cases is quite a bit.

How many cases were there for Volunt Plus Erat? If you weren't in line by 5-5:30 you didn't get any, if I remember correctly.

I missed out on Volunt and got in line at 4:45ish... Volunt had 70 cases and a 6 pack limit.

But Ross's's Melange had only like 150 cases and they didn't sell out the night of the release. Kind of hard to tell with these things.

True however this one is 4 times the amount so I'm guessing this one will make it to disto and if that's the case it should mean they will have plenty at 11pm that night? I hope that's the case since I'll try and make it at 7:30-8:00...... Anyone want to place a bet if I'll get mine?

Seriously, if nyou can make it, that's great. But don't pass up going to 3 or 4 other breweries just to make it to the release for this beer. Eache of the breweries you would miss have their own gems that you may never get the chance to try again. I'm not trying to talk you out of going to Avery, I love their BA program. I'm just saying if you can't make it up there, the brewpubs and breweries in town all have such great beers that you won't be "missing out".

We are going to make it, just moving wits end and river north to next Saturday when we were going to do Avery. Almost to Denver!

Nice. Sounds like a good plan. What time do you think you'll get up there? Pretty sure we'll have some kind of bottle share going. Feel free to walk over and introduce yourself and join in.

Probably get there around 4. I'll see if I can spot the bottle share and say what's up. I didn't bring anything with me so I would feel bad joining in.

Don't feel bad. I'll look for the 6'5" guy and introduce myself. You'll find people are just as friendly here as anywhere.
